Is the brand “Yesterday’s News” FOR CATS also safe to use for bunnies?

Question by Marjorie: Is the brand “Yesterday’s News” FOR CATS also safe to use for bunnies?
YN cheaper than most other brands- that is if you buy it for cats. It’s paper pellets and on the packaging I can’t see any differences than the smaller version they sell for bunnies, which is twice as expensive.

Thanks, Marj
I’ve tried newspaper- which usually ends up sticking to the bottom of cages, hay- which provides little to no absorbency, and towels, which I wash but poops still stick to them.

I’ve been using that litter for my little critters and they don’t treat it any different than the rabbit kind. So i think its perfectly fine. Its like the same kind of product just a tad bigger but not by much.

Hope this helped 😀

  1. It is perfectly safe as long as you don’t use the scented which can irritate the respiratory system.I have been using this for almost 2 years. I won’t use anything else. The cat YN is like $ 15 for 30lbs
the difference is the animal on the package.

  2. It is all the same product. Buy the cat stuff, just avoid scented litters.

Another option is wood pellets. You can get horse stall bedding or wood stove pellets for about $ 4-7 for 40 pounds.
